Cyberviolence in Teen Intimate Relationships : A Guide for Parents

The benefits of communication technologies are many, but when misused, they become formidable weapons of control and violence. Cyber-violence in romantic relationships is widespread among teenagers aged 14 to 17.

As a parent, it’s normal to feel helpless and unprepared to deal with a situation like this. Many would like to be better informed.

The “Sensibiliser, informer et outiller les parents en lien avec la cyberviolence dans les relations amoureuses des jeunes” project is aimed at parents of teenagers aged 12 to 17. With financial support from the Department of Justice Canada, Plaidoyer Victimes has developed several animation vignettes, an information guide and several thematic fact sheets.
