More than a hundred people attended the conference organized by the AQPV on November 23, both in person and online. The event, held at the Maison du développement durable in Montreal, focused on victims of crime who represent themselves in court.
We would like to express our deepest gratitude to our guests of honor, Elizabeth Corte and Léa Charbonneau-Lacroix, who brilliantly led the plenary session, revealing avenues for reflection and action to improve support for these victims.
Valuable insights were also provided throughout the symposium by speakers Arlène Gaudreault and Sylvie Gravel, as well as panelists Patricia Akiobe, Emmanuelle Bernheim, Pierre Lainé, Karine Mac Donald,Me Marie-Claude Richer,Me David Searle, and Celeste Trianon, who generously accepted our invitation. Their expertise highlighted the needs and challenges faced by victims who are unrepresented in court.

Finally, a big thank you to all those present: partners and collaborators from the victim assistance network, the justice system, the research community, public safety and health and social services. Your presence helped make this event an outstanding opportunity to share expertise.
